Each dance class has a dance curriculum to successfully implement each technique and skill required by each genre. Students develop spatial awareness and a better understanding of how to properly execute movements. Dance classes have the opportunity to participate at the end of the year recital.

Sorayda Del Valle is originally from Reynosa Tamaulipas Mexico where she started dancing at a very young age. Under the mentorship of several important dance teachers in the Rio Grande Valley such as Sonia Chapa and Deborah Case- Sorayda continued her passion for dance through her middle school and high school years as the leader of her high school dance team. She holds a bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Texas Pan-American (now UTRGV) where she was able to perform with the Modern Ensemble, cuadro flamenco and nationally recognized Ballet Folklorico Alegria. Sorayda is a certified dance teacher in the state of Texas and has been directing drill teams, folklorico groups, and teaching dance at the high school level for the past 8 years. She has had the opportunity to create more than 200 pieces of choreographic work; including team routines, officer, solos, ensembles, musicals, cuadros folkloricos and more. Mrs. Del Valle is a member of the Texas Dance Educators Associations and a member of the National Dance Education Organization. She is a barre certified instructor through the American Barre Technique program. Sorayda obtained her yoga certification through the program of doctor alanna Kaylvania, and has been zumba certified since 2010. She is currently working on her masters in Dance Education at Texas Woman’s University.
