REMAX Team, REALTORS is a full-service real estate agency, member of national, state and local Realtor associations. Agents provide designated listing and buyer agent services, tenant finding service and property management and multi-media marketing exposure and modern technology for a smooth transaction for the consumer. It serves Cambria and Somerset multiple listing service and surrounding areas. During the pandemic year, and amidst a two-month, governor mandated real estate shutdown, the real estate environment was robust with a high volume of buyer demand for a lower than normal listing inventory. The office reported 435 units closed to RE/MAX LLC, with volume at $48.9 million. The RE/MAX Team Office MLS sales volume showed an approximately 4.5% increase, and nearly identical total volume closed to 2019, at just over $45 million. RE/MAX Team was the No. 1 office in the Cambria-Somerset MLS with 15.94% of closed transactions for 2020. The March-April COVID-19 real estate shutdown of the state market presented unique challenges to quickly adjust to conducting virtual business outside the physical office space. Agents immediately went into action for their clients by using Zoom conferences/meetings, virtual showings, electronic documents and increasing mobile platform usage. The new year continues with high buyer demand in a low-inventory, sellers market. Listed properties are marketed with full multi-media exposure, including social media, television, print, mailings, websites and virtual/3-D tours. Agents are utilizing customized, daily new listing home searches for their clients and unique apps for their clients mobile devices. Continued advancements in technology and communication are being used to elevate the consumer real estate experience. All agents are continuing their advanced education and diversity awareness through National Association of Realtors education and classes. RE/MAX LLC award honorees included Bob Colvin, Team Leader, Diamond Team Award; Paula Kuzma, Designated Listing Agent; Dennis Unger, Designated Buyer Agent, Platinum Club Award. RE/MAX Team office was named a Children’s Miracle Network, Miracle Office, with agent contributions over $73,000 since 2006. Suzette and Bob Colvin with annual contributions exceeding $500. RE/MAX Team office listing/selling agents averaged 54 closed transactions per agent. Bob Colvin and Paula Kuzma continued their Cambria Somerset Board and MLS positions, and Toni Skone and Suzette Colvin continued their PA Association of Realtors Professional Standards Co-op Committee appointment. Bob Colvin is honored to continue his board position on the Cambria Regional Chamber. Technology will continue to advance the real estate environment with usage of Zoom/video conferencing, virtual and 3-D tours, FaceTime showings, electronic forms usage and increasing marketing efforts through social media and online apps. Johnstown will continue to persevere through these pandemic times with the same grit and determination as in years past. The longest-running local homes television show, The RE/MAX Team Showcase of Homes, enters its 21st season on Fox 8, at 10 a.m. Sundays, with continuing round the clock coverage on YouTube and social channels, produced by Jarred Romesburg of Somerset’s Romesburg Media.
