We pride ourselves on Small Shop Service and Big Shop Quality.
So, what exactly does GEM Sports do? In short, we create custom apparel, sell clothing, sporting goods and promotional items. Well, what exactly is custom apparel? It is anything that is imprinted with a custom logo or design.
Printing Methods we offer include:
Screen Printing – also known as silk screening is a method of printing where a mesh screen is stretched over a frame. A stencil is formed by blocking off parts of the screen in a negative image of the design to be printed. At GEM Sports each garment is screen printed by hand by our expert screen printers. This method of printing is commonly used on custom t-shirts, but can be applied on a variety of different custom apparel.
Embroidery – a method of printing a design on fabric with a needle and thread. Many choose embroidery for its rich look and the ease of printing on finer fabrics. Often embroidery is used on polo shirts and hats, but it can also be used on many other types of fabrics, such as bags, jackets, blankets or towels.
Direct to Garment – Direct to garment printing, also known as DTG printing, is a process of printing on cotton or cotton blend fabrics using specialized inkjet technology. The primary difference between DTG printing and screen printing is that with DTG printing the ink is absorbed by the fibers of the material and therefore has a softer feel.
Rhinestones & Sequins – Say it with bling! A popular design method for cheer and dance teams, adding rhinestones and/or sequins help add a special and unique shimmer to fabrics. Team moms also love adding the feminine touch of rhinestones to their team apparel.
Heat Press – A heat press is a machine that imprints a design on a substrate, such as a t-shirt, with the use of heat and pressure. There is a wide variety of material that can be applied through heat printing, from heat transfer vinyls (commonly used on athletic uniforms), heat transfer materials featuring special effects, and screen printed transfers, to name just a few.
