Gene and Veronica Carbona are becoming very well known for taking on this massive restoration project of refurbishing and renewing the Old Maranacook Feed Barn and transforming it into a wildly successful luxury, lakefront wedding & event venue. The historic Silver Oaks Estate is conveniently located just minutes from Interstate 95 in the heart of Historic downtown Winthrop in The Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine, near the cities of Augusta and Lewiston-Auburn. Freeport and Portland are just 30 and 60 minutes away, respectively, by car. Hotels and shopping are located just 10 minutes away in both directions.

Inclusive Amenities

Our weekend wedding package includes 200 chairs, 20 stunning farmhouse tables, luxury restrooms, security and parking staff, a private dressing area, a professional on-site venue representative and more. We invite you to choose a licensed caterer of your choice or one from our preferred vendors list. We also have ample, close by accommodations at many area hotels and B&B’s.

Tony and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to get married at the beautiful Barn at Silver Oaks Estate, where we had our dream wedding. The owners, Gene and Veronica, guide you through every step of the way, answering calls and emails quickly and making sure that every detail of the wedding goes smoothly to create a personal and special wedding. Without hesitation, Gene answers emails, spent hours on the phone with my husband, sister, and I helping us to figuring out details, helping me before I asked when and if I had difficulty with a vendor. During our wedding we had a slight issue with one vendor and before we even knew the problem arose, Gene had called the vendor and had the issue resolved. The day of the wedding, Gene and Veronica, tended to our every need, helping us set up the barn and make sure every detail was perfect. My husband and I visited the barn before we even got engaged. It was stunning and Gene and Veronica are even more amazing. They truly make the experience and we booked this venue before we even got engaged because we loved them and the venue so much. We had a Nor'easter on our wedding day but they came together and made our wedding amazing. Being inside was intimate and beautiful. I could not imagine a better place to get married and a better set of people to help us through the process. If you want the best wedding ever with the most genuine and amazing people, book this venue and get Veronica as your planner if she is available. You will not be disappointed. We truly felt like we were part of their family and had not one worry about how are wedding would turn out. We knew in their hands it would be the best day ever and it honestly was. Our wedding, at The Barn at Silver Oaks Estate, could not have been more perfect. The entire experience was relaxing, personalized, and fun thanks to owners Gene and Veronica. From the very start my husband, Mitch, and I were treated like family. Gene and Veronica did everything possible to make our day go smoothly, to make our friends and family feel welcomed, and to save us time and money whenever possible. They helped make our vision a reality! The barn itself is gorgeous, with chandeliers, signs that are hand painted by Veronica, a beautiful bar, gorgeous landscaping, and fantastic bathrooms... I could go on and on. Getting some photos down by the lake was just what we wanted, and we love how they came out. It was also great to have nearby cabins to rent so that we could stay close by, with our friends and family, for the entire weekend. Between having the rehearsal dinner at the barn, to cabins near by to get ready with plenty of room for both sides of the wedding party, and a fun/relaxing 9 hour long wedding (that our guests are still raving about) we couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend!
