Steinkamp Hauling is the oldest and most trusted name in solid waste and recycling collection in and around Quincy, Illinois. Established in 1968 by Dean Steinkamp with steady growth throughout the years in 2019 we became a second generation company.
Now owned by Dean’s daughter (Deanna Romans), son-in-law (Bill Romans) and son (Steven Steinkamp) we’ve entered into a new era of growth and expansion. We’re now offering residential carts and a variety of different services.
We use smaller and lighter trucks, and can offer lots of advantages the larger national and regional companies just can’t offer. We also have more than one hundred twenty (120) years of local experience in the waste industry, which allows us to know our service areas far better than any competitor.

We offer weekly residential collection service throughout Quincy and in all surrounding townships. We can collect waste from your home using your trash cans or bags, or with us providing a 96 gallon cart. Our basic service includes either curb or alley collection, but we also provide special services like back-door, chalet or drive-p service along with every-other week collection.
We can easily start, stop or temporarily suspend your service, invoice you either quarterly or monthly and offer multiple site or container collections. You can easily pay by mail, telephone or drop-off and we accept cash, checks, credit and debit cards, and have automated bill pay, on-line bill pay and e-billing available.
